Why we chose it: Abacus Property Group requested Brix to assist with rezoning a brownfield site in Clayton into a residential and commercial use development. Brix oversaw the development management associated with the rezoning and master planning of the site.
Our process: Brix engaged with key stakeholders at local and state government levels, working alongside the consultant team and Abacus Property Group. A submission gained indicative support for an amendment to rezone the site.
The outcome: In 2016, Abacus received an unsolicited offer to purchase the site from a third party who recognised its future potential as a residential community and decided to sell it for a substantial profit.
